I'm from Lewisville, NC, a small town outside of Winston-Salem. I work at a salon in the downtown area of W-S. I work with 3 other hairdressers and we talk about food all day long. Some of my best recipes came from my clients. My husband and our 2 dogs and 3 cats keep me entertained. I have a few favorite cookbooks from my grandmother, but my favorite so far is FROM THE EARTH TO THE TABLE by John Ash. That book has taught me a lot about food from the wine country, herbs, techniques, and wine! I do have a passion for wine. I love all types of ethnic food, and have experimented with my wok and deep fryer lately. I am not a very good baker. I'd like to try some bread recipes once I get a better oven..
