I am a high school teacher, currently teaching GED classes, however next year the grant is done. I live in Colorado Springs with my husband. I am a master food safety adviser/preserver, have been certified for over 5 years, and have been canning for years. I love to sew, craft, can, garden, travel, read, make soap, makes cheese, and anything herbal. I have been "doing" water aerobics for over 5 years and can't believe what you can accomplish "having fun" in the water. I would recommend it for anyone. My collection of cookbooks numbers about 400 now. I have a few cookbooks that I turn to: Sunflower Sampler by the Wichita Junior League, Dallas Junior League cookbook, The Best of the Best from New Mexico, and The Soup and Bread Book by Crescent Dragonwagon. I guess my passions would be herbs and soap. My pet peeves are rude people, and people who take advantage. Just finished by first swap. What fun. I really have been enjoying myself, especially the "other than food" forums.
