I was born and raised in Southern California. I decided to become vegetarian in 1997 after reading the book "Diet For A New America", by John Robbins. I felt like it could be my small contribution to the benefit of the earth. I love the beauty of nature, and wish I could spend more time camping and hiking. I also love collecting recipes, even though I don't cook as much as I'd like to. It's a great form of relaxation for me.
