I like to know what I'm eating. Because of that, I like to make big batches of stuff to have plenty of stuff for lunches. I home-can soup, and I bake most of the bread products we eat. (People seem most surprised by the fact I make English muffins, though.) We have a small yard, but we manage to grow a lot of our produce. The Hubs has fallen in love with the taste of freshly-picked homegrown lettuce. In the fall, a lot of the dinners I make are a hash of whatever needs to be used up quickly. The worst part of that is that I never write down what I did, so replicating the great stuff and avoiding the awful stuff is difficult.
