I'm a single cook and passionate about fresh organic whole foods, cooked minimally to maintain the nutrients. I'm not vegan or macrobiotic; I usually eat meat once a week, fish twice, and go with legumes or vegetarian dishes the other four days. It's hard out there for a single cook. Like most of us, I'm on a budget. I can't eat the variety of fresh vegetables I would like to and no matter how hard I try, I inevitably wind up tossing a ton of (expensive, organic) food out each week. I'm not here to whine. I'm hoping to meet others facing the same dilemma and to learn from them.
