I started cooking family meals when I was 10 years old since my Dad had to work snow removal during the winter. My Mother, Brother and I would all take turns through the week cooking dinner. Since then cooking has been a passion for me. I learned most of what I know from my Dad and Grandfather who loved to experiment and make different meals with whatever was on hand. Not everything I "cook up" is a success but more often than not, it is edible I'm not much of a baker because I believe that cooking is something that you just do, very rarely do I measure things out. It’s all about the taste and consistency of the food, not about exact amounts and minute by minute cooking times. Keep experimenting and trying new things, soon you'll be able to almost "sense" when your food is ready or what its missing and you'll come to realize that cooking is a wonderful pastime. Never listen to someone who tells you not to play with your food =)
