I live in rural central Kentucky, work at home and have been re-kindling my love for gardening, because I've finally given in to the fact that I'm PASSIONATE about FOOD. Passionate about reading about it, preparing food, seeking out new flavors, new techniques, and, of course, eating. I'm always on the lookout for ways to save money, eat healthily, eat locally (out of my own gardens, mostly), and maximize my protein intake. One of the ways I stay healthy and fit is by weight-training with my husband. Protein is key. Variety keeps it interesting. My husband appreciates my efforts and my cooking immensely. It's satisfying to cook for an appreciative partner, and I've been surprised at the new things this former meat-and-potatoes guy will try!
