I love to cook, and deeply believe in 'umami'. Umami is the Japanese word for what we call 'savoriness'. I love to infuse everything I cook with just the right amounts of spices and seasonings; flavor is everything! I love to perfect recipes I come across :) I'm kind of picky, I suppose, when it comes to the way things are seasoned. I'm also very picky about the way things are done in the kitchen, so I tend to put way too much detail into my reviews and recipes! My husband Marc has over ten years of cooking experience in the restaurant business, so I've learned a lot from him. All the cooking I do is for us and our daughter, and he of course is happy to help. His pallate is a little more sensitive than mine so I tend to test out new things on him ;) We've always dreamed of opening a restaurant together. I hope later in life we're able to accomplish that dream. Until then, I'll be exploring the many recipes of Food.com. I hope my reviews are helpful to other chefs out there. I also hope my recipes are enjoyed by everyone, and please note I am always open to constructive criticism :)
