I'm an avid home cook. I have had an interest in cooking for as long as I can remember. I enjoy learning new styles and methods of cooking, as well as repeating and perfecting my favorite dishes. I often make up a dish off the cuff from ingredients on hand; often it works and the food is satisfying, and sometimes not so much. But the experience is always one of pleasure. I also enjoy canning and preserving foods, smoking sausage, and making my own wine and beer.
