I am a 20 something female who loves to cook, try new recipes and canning. I have only tried canning in the past few years but I am constantly on the hunt for great ideas. Because I am in Southern CA I have access to great produce year round as well as authentic mexican & asian ingredients. I volunteer at a local cooking school for free classes and a discount on products. It's a great way to meet local chefs and other foodies, I highly recommend it to anyone looking to meet new people who are also into food.
