I've been cooking since I was a child; family holidays were spent in the kitchen with my mom and her two sisters, baking all the holiday goodies. I am self-taught and absorb (like a sponge) all recipes, techniques and world cuisine I can find. A huge fan of libraries, I almost always have a foodie book or two checked out at any given time. My belief is that cooking is so much like music: the creativity, improvisation, personal flair and the joy of sharing my personal creations. Yes, I am also a musician, though unfortunately not by profession........gotta pay the bills.
