This pie not only looks beautiful but is very delicious. My non-diabetic family wants me to make it every day. Came from diabetic-recipes.com... I love strawberry pie and was looking for a recipe I could use. Be sure to use the directions in this recipe and not those on the jello box. And fresh strawberries work a lot better then frozen. Here is a fun & fruity, rich & creamy treat found on the internet! Amounts were tweaked a bit to fit into a 9" deep dish pie plate! Preparation time does not include time either to chill in the refrigerator or to freeze in the freezer!

I had tried various versions of strawberry which required cooking and mashing strawberries and cooking down until thickened or with gelatin. This recipe is so much simpler. Can have a pie ready in little no time. If in a hurry, I've also used a ready-made Shortbread pie crust.

Most fresh strawberry pies call for a regular pie pastry or a graham cracker crust. This crust is similar to shortbread and complements the fresh strawberries wonderfully! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! My mom would make this pie every summer, and it was gone before you could blink, it's THAT good!

Using fresh strawberries, and some yummy mango sherbet, Spring into summer with this wonderful and colorful frozen dessert. Be sure and add the tequila for the adult version. ;)

Grandmama's Strawberry Pie

I've tried several strawberry pie recipes on this website, but my kids keep telling me "Grandmama's is better." Her copy of this recipe calls it "Miss Kay's Favorite Strawberry Pie" from Burris Farm Market. The kids said they could tell I'd used Grandmama's recipe when I made this.

This is really easy to make and very delicious. I got the recipe from my Aunt Rose. You can substitute other fruits for the strawberries and then use the corresponding jello flavor.
