I altered it quite a bit to fit our family. This is now the best sauce I have ever had and if you follow the measurements, it will come out the same every single time. I use Tuttoroso brand in the puree, paste, and sauce because that is the one my friend's mother always used. She was from Italy and made the best sauce in the world. Hubby loves it and comments on it whenever we have it which is once a week. It freezes well and is great with meatballs even thought there is a lot of meat in the sauce. Serve it with garlic bread and you will be sooooo happy.

Mimi's Fantastic Thick Spaghetti Sauce

Rating: 0

Created: Apr 28, 2013 11:49:29 AM

Food.com

Spaghetti With Garlic & Olive Oil

Simple. Adding the egg mixture IMMEADIATELY after taking the pasta off the heat is crucial to the succsess of this dish. The residual heat of the pan and the radiant heat of the pasta cooks the egg mixture. You should also serve this immeadiately as the sauce can dry out very easliy. It is best to serve this a little 'wet' in the serving bowl and the person can add pepper/salt/ extra cheese/crushed red pepper to taste and stir and it will make a beautiful sauce in the bowl!

Spaghetti Alla Carbonara

Rating: 0

Created: Apr 16, 2013 12:37:40 PM

Food.com

Spaghetti Pomodoro

By Lucinda Scala Quinn. Though I normally don't post recipes that I haven't tried, I'm posting this one here for safe keeping.... you know what happens when you want to find an old clipping....like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Update: I made it this weekend (03/03/13). Wasn't too crazy about the results. I will be tweaking this baby soon and will make the adjustments. The sauce ingredients are definately not enough and I found the recipe in general lacking in flavor.
