    Boysenberry Jam
    Boysenberry Jam

By JustJanS on October 1, 2010

    Recipe #349472

"We picked 6lbs wild boysenberries yesterday and had them home and turned into jam within 3 1/2 hours. It really is delicious stuff! The lemon helps setting and butter settles any scum that may have formed.I have always made jam by pouring into hot sterilized jars and have never killed anyone. If you would like to process in a hot water bath-feel free...."

    Recipe #381309

"When my two fig trees are in season, I struggle to cope with the amount of fruit they produce..........a rather nice problem I have to admit! However, this is one of my favourite ways of using some of my fresh figs, and this chutney is just amazing..."

    Apricot Almond Cinnamon Jam
    Apricot Almond Cinnamon Jam

By tasb on June 29, 2009

    Recipe #131664

"I just made this up. I wanted something different than the usual apricot jam so I added some almond extract and cinnamon. When you open the jar you can smell the almond but it isn't overpowering. They both are mostly a background taste. It is a softer jam but not syrupy. Great on bread with peanut butter. UPDATE: It did jell up after about a month."
