Every Friday night I bake a cake. And this time around, I asked my 3 year old what kind of cake I should make. He had a biscuit w/honey at lunch, so his reply to me was "Honey Cake". I checked the Zaar, and found a promising recipe for Honey Cake and decided to change a few things here and there.
I was searching for a recipe to use up the bananas that are overripe in my kitchen. Most recipes had up to 2 cups of sugar plus butter. I'm trying to watch my weight and still eat some sweets. Hope you enjoy!
I derived this recipe from another one on this site. I was missing some of the ingredients, so made some substitutions. I don't like to dirty too many things in my kitchen (mixer, bowl, and loaf pan), so I tried it out in my bread maker- worked out fine.
I combined two of my favorite bread maker recipes and came up with this. It comes out easy to slice and is the perfect texture for sandwiches. Sometimes I substitute the milk for pineapple juice when I want snacking bread or for french toast.
