From the book The kind Diet, haven't tried it yet, but putting here in case I figure out how to make it! It is written by Aliciaa Silverstone. She says to drink it every day on an empty stomach for 10 days, but DO NOT drink it every day after the initial 10 days
I just made these from the Dec 2005 Good HouseKeeping magazine. The recipe was submitted by Faye Holloway of Tallulah, LA.I had to put them in the freezer or they would all be gone! The book says 8 dozen, I only got about 4.
I don't know who SIBI is, thats the name of it in the magazine. Vegetarian times Nov 2004. The recipe works well with dried cranberries, blueberries or pitted sour cherries. Can be baked in an 8-inch pie plate or a 9-inch square pan.
From Dec 2004 Vegetarian Times. Just before you're ready to serve, mash a few potatoes against the cookers side and blend them into the broth to thicken it. Add chucks of seitan any time during the cooking.Halved brussel sprouts also make a colorful addition.
I got this recipe from a coworker. The topping calls for 3 sticks of butter, but I only use 2. Make sure the topping is ready when the cake comes out of the oven, it needs to go on while the cake is still warm so it sticks (or melts) into it.
