From Baltimore Sun (MD) 3/31/10. Taste of memories... Batter must rest overnight.

    Recipe #462790

May seem like the others, but I didn't see any with this mix of ingredients. Those black olives, as much as I hate olives, really knock this out of the park.

    Recipe #342257

My husband took #32888 and changed it enough to make it his own. It's a big hit at family reunions, even with the children! And yes, that's a bulb and not a clove of garlic - when it's fresh, it's favorful but mild.

    Recipe #319586

Less ingredients than the other found in Recipezaar. Great to start ahead and have as appetizer for guests when they're arriving.

    Recipe #302303

Originally from Chicago Tribune. Something different yet not bizarre.

    Recipe #302283

From a Domino Sugar bag. Rich and sinful.

    Recipe #302205

Recipe #291536 SILC is a lot less work than this one, but this is the one that won the local paper's contest. It's from a Mrs Kitching and the newspaper states all judges loved it and..."While somewhat plain, it had a real butter flavor, with no unpleasant aftertaste, and an even, if somewhat dense texture." and the frosting was what "...keeps the cake alive." I put "assembly" time into preparation time, and the icing stovetop time into the cooking time.

    Recipe #302202

Pizza crust recipe on back of yeast envelope. Didn't see it here and know it's a good one. Simple and straightforward. We like our crust very thin and this holds up.

    Recipe #302122

You can use any chicken broth, but Swanson came up with the recipe. It's very easy and tenderly delicious. Nice touch is sauteed orange slices served on top.

    Recipe #302039

Coconut and condensed milk (CM) create a unique and delicious bar or shaped cookie (cut-out from final product). Eagle Brand CM recipe.

    Recipe #178688

Karo recipe that adds chocolate to all those wonderful thumbprint cookies. I looked through all 'zaar had, but didn't see one with chocolate and using Karo corn syrup.

    Recipe #176144

Unusual but good: from Sue Bee Honey ad in magazine. Intense flavors on skin but you can remove skin after cooking for less flavor, and it's still one-of-a-kind taste.

    Recipe #175847

This one recipe has enough difference to make it worth posting. It's modified from a Girl Scout Cook Book. The cinnamon makes a big difference and I like adding those special dark chocolate chips.

    Recipe #175643

Yes, cookies on the waffle iron! From Southern Living, these are quick, easy, ovenless cookies. No bake.

    Recipe #123009

Best if on a cast iron skillet, OUTSIDE on a high flame. Inside, use a fan to deal with the smoke or turn off your smoke alarms. This crispy crust is seared on by the hot pan. Baltimore Sun

    Recipe #123007

Very strong pie crust that takes a beating and doesn't require attention to details. Great for fruit filled pastry cookies (folded over or sealed like ravioli). Dough browns nicely. Great to use up "gift" jellies and jams.

    Recipe #104998

Versatile recipe modified from the October Baltimore Sun newspaper. Unusual, change from the tomatoe-based spaghetti sauces. Entirely worth buying the bottle of sherry. Great with leftover turkey.

    Recipe #104115

Brownies from a Devil's food cake mix. Easy and have plenty of recipe copies to give out. from May Washington Times

    Recipe #103217

Tried this at home and then at a campfire - the pot was licked clean BOTH times. From Ladies Home Journal July 2002

    Recipe #87495

Available through Mount Vernon historical tours, this recipe was given out to our class.
