    Like autumn in Paris...ok, maybe not. But still pretty darn good. I had to add specific amounts so that my recipe would post. FYI if your are interested...I use 1 small package of chicken tenders no matter what the weight is. Its usually a little over a lb. I use one small bell pepper, and onion. I use 1 large apple.

    Looking for something different, delicious, and a little exotic? Its not everyday you hear people say "Last night I had a Moroccan style sandwich". This recipe is a combo of the usual suspects such as chicken, plums, pita bread, hummus, and some popular spices. An interesting but surprising combo that I know you will love if you give it a chance! This recipe really doesn't require measurments. (No one uses measurements when making a sandwich.) You can put out all of the ingredients buffet style and people can make them up how they like. As far as the veggies (and plums) go, you can either choose to serve them fresh OR cooked by sauteing in olive oil.

    Hungarian style comfort food! Great when you really want to fill your belly. My own creation but all of the elements are there to make this a Hungarian treat -- garlic, paprika, mustard, thyme, dill, white pepper, and sour cream. I use all dried herbs. You could certainly use fresh but your measurements would have to be altered.

    Perfect for fall with all of its flavors. My recipe makes brussel sprouts...edible. No offense brussel sprout lovers out there! ;) When making this I used frozen sprouts which I left on the counter for about 1/2 hour to take the freeze off a bit. I'm sure this recipe would be even more lovely with fresh. I also happen to like the flavor of gala apples best when making this.

    If you are like me and always over-plant, then soon enough you will be looking for new things to do with tomatoes. I might add that I tend to go a little heavier then the recipe calls for cheese and bacon...but the measurements available are a good start. Peeling the tomatoes is made easier by first poaching them in boiling water until the skin 'pops'. This allows the skin to peel right off.

    I love the texture of this cake. The major contributors are the use of cake flour (versus ap flour) and of course the ricotta cheese! Lemon is what gets me going but orange works well with this too. Try it with some strawberries as you would strawberry shortcake. Its too yummy to pass up.

    There is a brand of store bought, iced sugar cookies in my area that I just love. They are called Debbie Joe's. I dare say these are better. I can make them from home so they are economical, more fresh, and lack any of those commercial baking ingrediets. I just love them.     In the mood for bread but not all the work? These fit the bill. These have the texture of a muffin but with all the taste of a sour-dough bread. Yummy when spread with butter, jam, OR eaten on their own. I found this recipe from Mary Bowles on Astray and want to give credit. I couldn't find this recipe on Zaar and think it would be a lovely addition to the database. If you do not have self rising flour on hand don't shy away! Its very easy to make. 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt for every cup of all purpose flour.
