Like autumn in Paris...ok, maybe not. But still pretty darn good. I had to add specific amounts so that my recipe would post. FYI if your are interested...I use 1 small package of chicken tenders no matter what the weight is. Its usually a little over a lb. I use one small bell pepper, and onion. I use 1 large apple.

Coffee Cake or Pancakes? Now you don't have to decide. These are a different and yummy creation of mine. They can be served with slices of fried apples and whipped cream or just a nice drizzle of maple syrup. Very decadent!

    Recipe #340652

Curried potatoes are yummy...but creamy ones are way better. :) My recipe is easy, fast, and delicious. Replace your usual side of potatoes with this one for something different. If you do not want them quite so rich, you can substitute heavy cream with half and half.

    Recipe #321678

I'm an Italian girl who loves my carbs! Gnocchi is a fairly standard recipe and you will find that most formulas are similar. This makes it very easy to tailor to your own tastes! Here is my recipe. I hope you love it.

    Recipe #328329

A holiday classic minus the rum. They are so yummy, you will not miss it.

    Recipe #341144

Looking for something different, delicious, and a little exotic? Its not everyday you hear people say "Last night I had a Moroccan style sandwich". This recipe is a combo of the usual suspects such as chicken, plums, pita bread, hummus, and some popular spices. An interesting but surprising combo that I know you will love if you give it a chance! This recipe really doesn't require measurments. (No one uses measurements when making a sandwich.) You can put out all of the ingredients buffet style and people can make them up how they like. As far as the veggies (and plums) go, you can either choose to serve them fresh OR cooked by sauteing in olive oil.

    Recipe #363325

I've been experimenting with pancake batters forever! I have several favorites. This is one of them.

    Recipe #322471

Turning otherwise humble ingredients into something really good is what I love about accidently coming up with my own recipes. I hope you try and enjoy it...its just plain good!

    Recipe #424304

Hungarian style comfort food! Great when you really want to fill your belly. My own creation but all of the elements are there to make this a Hungarian treat -- garlic, paprika, mustard, thyme, dill, white pepper, and sour cream. I use all dried herbs. You could certainly use fresh but your measurements would have to be altered.

    Recipe #332022

This is more of a method then a recipe. Great seasonal treat!

    Recipe #333266

Perfect for fall with all of its flavors. My recipe makes brussel sprouts...edible. No offense brussel sprout lovers out there! ;) When making this I used frozen sprouts which I left on the counter for about 1/2 hour to take the freeze off a bit. I'm sure this recipe would be even more lovely with fresh. I also happen to like the flavor of gala apples best when making this.

    Recipe #329490

So fresh and tart. I really like the combo of lemon-lime with pork although you could use this marinade and bbq sauce recipe for any meat or veggie you like.

    Recipe #332381

If you are like me and always over-plant, then soon enough you will be looking for new things to do with tomatoes. I might add that I tend to go a little heavier then the recipe calls for cheese and bacon...but the measurements available are a good start. Peeling the tomatoes is made easier by first poaching them in boiling water until the skin 'pops'. This allows the skin to peel right off.

    Recipe #363300

Being tired of the same old heavy salads at summer parties, I came up with a light, herby, and 'sun-stable' salad for outdoor parties. This recipe is so tasty and versatile that you will use it all the time. Outside or not! Add some blue cheese or feta to jazz it up a bit. Switch up your summer veggies to create your own variation. This recipe makes enough for a gathering but don't shy away if you have a small family. Leftovers are even better the next day!

    Recipe #320261

Something to warm the soul. Great for a crisp fall evening to chase the chill away. Makes a big pot. Leftovers are even better the next day! Use your favorite gnocchi (Italian dumpling) recipe or try mine: http://www.recipezaar.com/328329 You will not need all of the dough from this recipe but you can freeze it for another meal.

    Recipe #329164

I love the texture of this cake. The major contributors are the use of cake flour (versus ap flour) and of course the ricotta cheese! Lemon is what gets me going but orange works well with this too. Try it with some strawberries as you would strawberry shortcake. Its too yummy to pass up.

    Recipe #424232

There is a brand of store bought, iced sugar cookies in my area that I just love. They are called Debbie Joe's. I dare say these are better. I can make them from home so they are economical, more fresh, and lack any of those commercial baking ingrediets. I just love them. You can add the vanilla but I actually find they taste better without it.

    Recipe #350543

You can find the strawberry-banana combo anywhere...so why not in bread. Yummy. I like to press very ripe strawberries into the top of the batter right before baking. Just because!

    Recipe #377093

In the mood for bread but not all the work? These fit the bill. These have the texture of a muffin but with all the taste of a sour-dough bread. Yummy when spread with butter, jam, OR eaten on their own. I found this recipe from Mary Bowles on Astray and want to give credit. I couldn't find this recipe on Zaar and think it would be a lovely addition to the database. If you do not have self rising flour on hand don't shy away! Its very easy to make. 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt for every cup of all purpose flour.
