Tender moist pork in a sauce that my husband and I love. Easy and elegant.

    Recipe #128673

Yet another, but this one differs from the others already posted, and it tastes great!. Very flexible, because you choose how you want to garnish: can be a side dish or a main dish. The dressing does contain lots of ingredients, but they are pretty common items and it is a good way to use lots of those things you might have purchased for asian recipes that are cluttering up the back of your refrigerator! Prep time DOES NOT include 30 minute chill time, so plan ahead.

    Recipe #128671

For the liver lovers out there, this recipe provides a different method of preparation with a refined taste and an attractive presentation. Especially easy to put together if you use ready-to-use store-bought pie crusts, though of course home-made is always better. Use a 9 or 10 inch deep dish pie pan, or 11-inch (1 1/2 inch deep) tartform. Recipe comes from my local grocer. Preparation time does not include time to prepare home-made pastry.

    Recipe #128670

Richly flavored dish originating in the Catalonian region of Spain and especially nice with roasted potatoes on the side.

    Recipe #126667

This is a a favorite at our house with all the flavors that we love. I would say don't even try this with frozen tuna (it just isn't the same), only fresh will do!

    Recipe #126666

Tastes of the Mediterranean and perfect for a warm summer's day. May be used as a side dish or main course.

    Recipe #126665

This recipe comes from an old copy of "Cooking with Craig Clairborne and Pierre Franey". In my opinion, an elegant preparation without too much fuss. I don't have access to catfish myself, but use tilapia with excellent results. Basa or any other fine white fish fillet could be substituted.

    Recipe #126663

This is a dish with layered flavors; a complex taste yet so easy to prepare. I use a light Belgian beer (Hoegaarden) for this one but any light (not necessarily LITE) beer should do (if I was in the US, I might try Corona?). I like to serve these with sesame noodles on the side. Preparation time DOES include 30 minutes marination.

    Recipe #124568

There are already numerous sesame noodles posted here on this site, but this one seems to differ slightly from them all. We found the more we ate from this dish, the more we liked it. To be served at room temperature, or chilled. Time to cook (and bring to room temperature) the noodles is not included.

    Recipe #124567

A nicely seasoned side dish which I particularly like as it has more substance than just orzo alone.

    Recipe #124022

Refreshing and absolutely delicious, in my opinion- I could make a meal of this myself. Do use a good olive oil, if possible! Cooking time is actually the 30 minutes standing time before serving.

    Recipe #124021

I discovered this recipe at It differs from the one posted by Mirj, so I'm submitting it here as in my opinion one can never have too many camel recipes. I have definitely NOT adjusted this one to suit my family's tastes! Yield amount was not given, but I'm guessing an entire subdivision. I'm estimating on preparation time as I have no idea how long it takes to scale 1 carp, let alone 20; pit-digging is also not included in preparation time.

    Recipe #123477

This quick-bread is a great way to use up that lone avocado quickly passing it's prime! Not too sweet, pretty color, and no one in my household could guess that it was avocado. It's moist despite containing no oil. Avocados do differ in size, you want 1/2 cup mashed pulp. Walnuts can be substitued for pecans if desired. Number of servings is a broad estimate as it will depend on how thickly you slice it!

    Recipe #123454

Peas (frozen or canned), on their own, are not one of my favorite vegetables but they are convenient to have on hand. This recipe dresses them up and adds flavor which I find otherwise lacking. I have only prepared this with frozen peas, but assume it would work just as well with the canned variety.

    Recipe #123338

This makes a hearty meal. I like to use a garlicky sausage, but the choice is up to you. Saffron is expensive, but don't be tempted to leave it out of the dish because it is integral to the flavor of this stew! Make sure to have lots of crusty bread to serve on the side.

    Recipe #123337

Not only simple to prepare, but delicious as well. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, if desired.

    Recipe #122878

This is an authentic Italian dish from the region of Calabrian. Ok, some of you are going to look at the ingredients list and say "ugh, anchovies!". But hear me out- anchovies can be wonderful (as in this dish) when used as a seasoning, and combine here with the capers to give a completely unexpected (and in my opinion) delightful flavor. Are you brave enough to try? ;)

    Recipe #119367

Lemony, but not over-powering. In my opinion, the perfect accompaniment to simply-prepared grilled fish, especially salmon.

    Recipe #119363

This soup is to artichokes what vichysoisse is to leeks! Delicious as a starter (particularly for an Italian meal) or lunch on a warm day. If you are stumped by the metrics, don't forget you can use the handy converter provided by 'Zaar (to be found just after the quantity). Preparation time DOES NOT include 3-4 hour chilling time.

    Recipe #119359

This simple, comforting dish relies on the use of good quality sausages as the main seasoning comes from them. I like to use garlic sausages, but choose your favorites. It is easily assembled and with the addition of a side vegetable you have an entire meal. If you are having problems with the metric quantities, don't forget to try the handy "Change size or US/metric " link next to serving size!
