This is a great comfort soup that is a meal in itself. Even the kids will like it, just tell them the name of it. I like to serve it with some crusty bread and real butter. I found this in Taste of Home magazine.
Ok the name is for lack of a better one I suppose, it is how it was given to me by a friend. These are so good hot out of the oven. I have made the mixture ahead and baked them just as guest arrive and I have even placed mixture on party rye and frozen on cookie sheet and taken out to bake at a later time.
This is a variation of the ones posted. It makes a large pan but can be easily halfed. For the topping you may want to add the melted butter one stick at a time to your taste...some people think four sticks makes it too buttery.
I am not sure where I got this recipe from but it is a great dish to serve for breakfast or brunch. (Note: This dish must be prepared and refrigerated overnight) I like to make it when having overnight guests...just pair it with some fruit salad, coffee, juice and voila breakfast with little effort.
I searched for years for a brownie that was more ooey gooey than cake like and here it is. I make it in a 9X13 pan and it dissapears FAST. I found this on the back of a Hershey's Cocoa can and the icing is from a friend.
