Posting this for ZWT 2006 (French Cajun & Creole region). This is a very homey comforting sort of a soup. The spices are easily played with if you like it spicier and it is even better with a good dollop of hot sauce in it.
Posting for ZWT 2006, this is a yummy sounding two crust savory pie. made with can salmon thus convenient but I will probably sub fresh cooked salmon when I make it here at home. I have taken the liberty of adding some dill into the ingredient list.
Posting this for ZWT 2006, this is a West African entree rich dish that I myself can't wait to make; it sounds really good and not difficult at all. Don't let the long directions throw you; it is mostly browning and stirring steps.
Soooooo yummy. I'm posting this for ZWT 2006 (Italian region) This is a very hearty sandwich but so tasty that if i'm hungry, even having the small appetite that I do, I can down one and a half of these buggers. Guys and kids love these. This is also easy to double if you have more people to feed.
Posting this for ZWT 2006, this is a typical South African Curry. For those who dislike Coconut Milk in curries try this one; it is coconut milk free. This is served over rice or with a bread such as Chapatis.
Posting this for ZWT 2006, this is an Eastern Africa dish from Swahili. As it uses curry, if you've looked at my recipes before, you should have KNOWN you'd find something like it here hehehe. This gets served over hot rice.
Posting for ZWT 2006, this is a lovely couscous recipe. Don't let the mixed directions throw you off, this really is easily put together. It is flavorful yet not too spicy for those who like it milder and also easy to spice up if you like it that way. It's a pretty flexible recipe when it comes to additions.
Posting this for ZWT 2006, this is a nice spicy (but not TOO hot) chicken dish. Serve this with rice and/or Chapati bread. This goes together quickly and then simmers leaving you free to do other things.
Posting this for ZWT 2006 (Italian region) this is simple, not overly spiced, not overly complicated; just good homey Italian comfort food. Cook this with Baby Potatoes right in the pan and take care of the bulk of your meal all in one dish. Cook time includes refrigerator time.
Posted for ZWT 2006 (Italian region), this is a light (as in not going to feel heavy on your stomach but full flavored roast chicken dish in a heavenly white wine/lemon/rosemary sauce. Don't let the long direction list throw you; it's not difficult at all. I make NO claims in this recipe that it is light in fat or low cal; make it knowing that please.
This is being posted for ZWT 2006 (Italian region). Frittatas are simply omelettes and this is a wonderful example of one. I love fresh basil and grow it every year and this is a great showcase for it. You can also add a little bit of Mozzarella cheese to this one to get that yummy stringy cheese thing going.
Posting this for ZWT 2006 Asian region. This is a classic Chinese treatment for Spareribs which can be doubled easily and is so delicious. To purists, this is NOT American style BBQ ribs so don't gasp at the boiling ok? Hehehe. I like to add some red pepper flakes and a little Ginger to the sauce to add a bit of heat.
This is the worlds simplest appetizer. I'm posting this for ZWT 2006. I have been making this for years. Not company fare as it is rather messy but oh so good for family. It can also be made in a heat proof bowl or SMALL baking dish in a 350 degree oven if browned cheese is important to you. I personally just want to get to eating this as quickly as possible and love just having it for a light dinner for myself. This makes one serving but is easily increased.
I'm posting this for ZWT 2006 (African Region). It is an African Curry dish and as I love Curry and also love fruit in savory dishes I thought it might be a good one in case anyone else shares these same likings.
