This is easy and so creamy and delicious. I found the recipe on Pepperidge Farms Puff Pastry using Strawberries.I didn't have any strawberries, but lots of blueberries in the freezer and we love blueberries. I am sure this would be great with other fruits as well. I'm not sure about Prep time. Cooking time is 15 min to bake puffs and about 10 min to make the sauce
This is a family favorite. The recipe comes from"Old Fashion Presimmon Recipes" by Bear Wallow Books from Nashville, IN. I have been making these cookies for years and my grown children complain that now they only get them at Christmas. The prep time does not include getting the pulp ready. I am only guessing at prep time.
Found this recipe in an old Better Homes and Gardens Cook Book from 1965. It is good warm out of the oven as a side dish or can be used as a dessert. Probably could be put in a pie shell and make a sweet potato pie.
It is a favorite of our family.
My husband doesn't like ice cream that gets really hard in the freezer-so I came up with this recipe. Haven't tried it with fruits and other flavors yet but that is next. It stays soft in the freezer and is really creamy.
