This recipe is from the Penrose Victorian Inn (bed and breakfast) in Haydenville, Massachussettes and is a heritage recipe. It is the best coffee cake I have ever tasted and ever made! I make it for our church breakfasts from time to time and everyone scarfs it right up! Just as fast as the Caramel Rolls! Now that is a feat here in North Dakota! I hope you enjoy this fabulous recipe! Hugs, Jelly :)
Here in North Dakota we love Knoephla Soup! I was introduced to it by my DH and loved it ever since! We have a place called Kroll's Diner run by two older Norwegian ladies! They make it the best I have ever had! The are famous for saying "SIT DOWN AND EAT!" And we do! :)
In ND everyone likes bars! These are very addictive. When I first saw them I thought I don't like rice krispies...silly me!
I have found if I eat just one I am back to the kitchen sneaking one after another. My kids love them! So I hope you enjoy them!
I found this recipe on Cooking.Com and it has been a keeper ever since!
I love pork loin and if done right is not dry or bland. Pork loves rosemary and sage just ask any Italian! :)
This is a Tuscan recipe so it is recommended that it be served with braised white beans and roasted potatoes! And uncork a Chianti!!! Sounded good to me! Jelly :)
This is the best mac and cheese I have ever eaten and fattening and scrumptious. So forget about the calories and sink your fork into this fabulicious comfort for the soul dish! Star Jone's "All Star Macaroni and Cheese! Serves 8.
I use this recipe all the time in the summer on our salads! I like to mix it up with my greens, and love arugula and radicchio! We eat a lot of salads and this hits the spot til the tomatoes arrive! This recipe was shared with me by a friend! Thank you! Hope you like it!
This was a delicious and non fattening recipe that I invented and came out exceptionally well! I have to lose weight and lower my triglycerides so I am changing my style of eating...I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!
My youngest DD shared this recipe with me! Just turned 20 and a fabulous cook and baker all ready!!! She made the most delicious Ham dinner for her Dad and I and it was the most delicious Ham!
I was so proud of her efforts that turned out so good! :)
This is easy and a nice change during grilling season! Will definitely hit the spot if you are fond of the taste of cherries and honey!
Like who doesn't like cherries and honey!!!!
Goes great with potato salad or pasta salad and a nice dish of marinated fresh home grown tomatoes!
I got this recipe from the grocery store! Imagine that!
Enjoy! Jelly :)
Here is another recipe that is served at our fall dinner. It is so very easy, simple, and inexpensive to make. A dollap of whipped cream or if you like Cool Whip. I like whipped cream.
North Dakota women can really stretch the budget and still serve delicious food! I am now a pioneer! Always, Jelly!
Every year our little country church has a fall supper to raise funds to pay the heat bill and other upkeep. It is a very small church and all chip in and work together to make this fundraiser a success. It is easy, simple and quick and kids love it! A scoop of ice cream when still warm is scrumptious!
I hope you enjoy it!
This is a recipe that I have been tweaking for sometime, beginning last summer. I checked out the ingredients listed and it hit me! I will tweak it with some of these things that I wouldn't have thought of before had it not been for this contest! This is delicious and perfect for a luncheon with friends or just for family out on the deck this summer! Bon Appetite my friends!
