Here in North Dakota we love Knoephla Soup! I was introduced to it by my DH and loved it ever since! We have a place called Kroll's Diner run by two older Norwegian ladies! They make it the best I have ever had! The are famous for saying "SIT DOWN AND EAT!" And we do! :)
I use this recipe all the time in the summer on our salads! I like to mix it up with my greens, and love arugula and radicchio! We eat a lot of salads and this hits the spot til the tomatoes arrive! This recipe was shared with me by a friend! Thank you! Hope you like it!
In ND everyone likes bars! These are very addictive. When I first saw them I thought I don't like rice krispies...silly me!
I have found if I eat just one I am back to the kitchen sneaking one after another. My kids love them! So I hope you enjoy them!
These are so easy and tastelicious! Easy to cut and serve and great for a picnic or school lunch! Even perfect to take somewhere for a gift! Just use a chinese take-out carton and add some colored tissue paper and presto you have a great something to bring somewhere! Store nicely too! Not messy either!
This is a similar recipe to the one my grandpa used to make and give us kids when we were sick with a cold/cough. We loved it. We loved anything he gave us! :)
The recipe belongs was shared by Jim Collums on Kathie's Herb Page.
Molasses works well with horehound. He says this is incredibly great! So I am going to make some! I love molasses and it really worked for us kids!
This is the best mac and cheese I have ever eaten and fattening and scrumptious. So forget about the calories and sink your fork into this fabulicious comfort for the soul dish! Star Jone's "All Star Macaroni and Cheese! Serves 8.
Here is another recipe that is served at our fall dinner. It is so very easy, simple, and inexpensive to make. A dollap of whipped cream or if you like Cool Whip. I like whipped cream.
North Dakota women can really stretch the budget and still serve delicious food! I am now a pioneer! Always, Jelly!
Every year our little country church has a fall supper to raise funds to pay the heat bill and other upkeep. It is a very small church and all chip in and work together to make this fundraiser a success. It is easy, simple and quick and kids love it! A scoop of ice cream when still warm is scrumptious!
I hope you enjoy it!
