This is from a fantastic website - I've posted the original recipe, however I prefer to use a mix of grated carrot and courgette rather than turnip. You can watch the video on the site, but here's what they have to say about it.. "it’s clearly a large departure from the traditional dish, but it is a healthy departure harboring a wide range of nutrient-rich power foods. It’s actually not as much work as the rather lengthy ingredient list implies, and well worth the effort. This one is good the next day as well, perhaps even better as the saffron continues to infuse the dish with flavor for up to 24 hours."

This is from Mindfood magazine. The recipe calls for fresh pineapple wedges to decorate. I subbed fresh passionfruit for the pulp out of a jar & used lemonade & it turned out great! (^o^)

This amazing soup is from the highly acclaimed Saffron restaurant in Arrowtown, NZ. It is absolutely delicious with naan!! Notes: The recipe calls for Star Anise, however I usually substitute fennel seeds.. I also use coconut oil instead of peanut and 3 cans of tomatoes if I don't have fresh. If you can't find Palm sugar, try brown sugar. Enjoy! (^^)

There doesn't seem to be anything similar on Zaar yet, so this had to be posted!! This is a wonderful, versatile 'pie'. I serve it cold with thick yoghurt and passionfruit pulp, however others like it warm with ice-cream. It's totally up to you. If you like a very moist cake with a tang, then you'll love this - it's to die for!! Note: My mum uses milk and coconut extract instead of coconut milk, so that could be an option.

    Recipe #383769

This is a flavourful tomato soup, spiked with capers to make a wonderful light summer soup. From a little soup book by Susannah Blake. I have been known to substitute the sun-dried tomato puree for normal puree or paste, so don't feel you have to rush out and buy any!

    Recipe #348468

This is the most common (& delicious!) method of cooking pumpkin in Japan. The usual hard-skinned variety of pumpkin/squash is best. You don't have to worry about peeling off all the skin - as long as you wash it & chop any rough bits, it's good enough to eat!

    Recipe #348354

I love soups & this one takes the cake! It's easy, comforting and healthy. I usually chuck in whatever is in the fridge, so below is just an estimate. You may well want to change quantities depending on your preferences. Make sure to use a good quality stock or make it yourself.

    Recipe #329729

I always get great feedback from friends with this soup - tis my signature dish!!! The spice amounts are for a mildish soup. Add more if you like it spicy. To save time, use 2 cups of tomato pasta sauce with the soup stock as the base (instead of the leek, tomatoes etc)
