These are just the best black-eyed peas I've had. Ordinarily I would use fresh jalapeño peppers, but the pickled worked very well in this. I like to serve this with Southern Cornbread made in a cast iron skillet. Served this on New Years day for good luck.
This recipe is inspired by appleydapply Bacon and Onion Nachos. We had unexpected company come by and I wanted to make lunch for them. This is the result I got. It's hot and spicy but you can decrease the amount of jalapeno peppers. If you do not like crisp vegetables, microwave them to the desired consistency you like. We like crisp.
It's cold and windy today and I wanted something to warm us up. My friend PaulaG sent me some Green Chile Powder so I wanted to use it. This soup has got a lot of heat to it so stay away from it if you don't like hot spices. We do and it was just what I was looking for.
Made this tonight for my sis and I and we really enjoyed it. It's on the hot/spicy side and has a wonderful flavor combination. The Andouille sausage adds an additional spice/smoky flavor that we loved. This can be put together and on the table in about 30 minutes. Serve this over rice or whole wheat spaghetti or just by itself.
I recently made chef #157425 wonderful recipe #180869 and it is the base for this version. We loved the spicy flavors of the Rotel and the smoky taste of the cheese. Using the Green Giant brand, the whole kernel corn turned out slightly crisp but cooked through, which is what we were looking for. This is also a quick weeknight meal to put together for your family.
Well if you want something fairly quick to put together and is loaded with flavor, this is it. The Thai red curry paste adds such a wonderful flavor. It's pretty spicy, so don't make this is you don't like spicy. You can use less curry paste too, but it was perfect for us. The original recipe is from Allrecipes, posted by E. Maxwell using chili paste, but we prefer the Thai red curry paste instead. Hope you enjoy.
These are wonderful tasting. We loved the taste the Kahlua and hint of lemon gave to these rich and filling pancakes. I tested these on all of my family and changed some things around according to their comments. The last were my DD and her BF and they gave them a thumbs up. This makes 12 6" pancakes. Made for RSC #10
We have so many garden vegetables right now and this is a nice way to use up some of them. This would make a nice appetizer or a side dish for a cook out. The sauce makes these little bundles. You may also have some left over zucchini and squash depending on how small they are.
These are simply delicious and although you have to plan ahead (feed the starter the night before), they are easy to make. The dough is very easy to work with. Most of the cook time is in the rising time. It is made for the bread machine's dough cycle. I did not include the time it takes for rising. Hope you enjoy.
This is a very tasty juicy burger. Had just the right spice blend for us. Quick and easy to put together. Perfect for a summer Bar-B-Que with friends. Made this with my recipe #237867. Original from my Weber grilling book with a few changes.
Our neighbor gave us some peppers and a big cucumber and we made this. Now Dave is not a big fan of cucumber but he liked this. The dressing is very tart but went well with the combination. Original recipe from "Barbecue" by Christine France and Steven Wheeler. I removed some things and added other so hope you'll enjoy.
