This is the very first cake I ever made as a child, and I've been making it ever since. It is great right out of the oven served with either ice cream or fresh whipping cream.
The batter is quite thick and you will have to spread it to fit the pan.
This chicken recipe is from a cookbook a group I belong to (Ellen submited this one) put out to raise money - it was a huge success and I get inspiration from it weekly.
This is by far my families favorite - the smell while its cooking is unbelievably good! I generally use skinless chicken thighs.
Hope you love it as much as we do.
I have no idea where this recipe originated, but as children we would request it for our birthday dinner and being 5 of us, we got to have it often!!
While its cooking the aroma takes me right back to those times.
You might want to make extra sauce its so good over rice!
This is a great recipe that uses up ingredients that I always have on hand. I often switch the ground beef for ground turkey and I like to use whole wheat egg noodles instead of the Chinese noodles.
I found this recipe in a Canadian Living cookbook called "Make it Tonight".
I made these muffins last week to go in the lunches - all 3 boys liked them and they used up some cereal that was just about past its prime!
Recipe is courtesy of Anna Olson, from her cookbook Another Cup of Sugar.
