A little trial and error resulted in this lovely recipe that is fairly easy to prepare and was a huge hit this year at my holiday party. Brining makes the turkey taste lightly salty and very tender and is relatively easy to do with the right tools. I used the following guide: http://whatscookingamerica.net/Poultry/BriningPoultry.html and added in 4 oranges, salt, and an entire box of brown sugar. The rest of the recipe is as follows:

    Recipe #406333

For a twist on traditional holiday potatoes, this is an awesome recipe. It mixes both sweet potatoes and regular potatoes in a traditional Potatoes Anna layered casserole dish. I got the recipe from Optimum Wellness magazine and it was a huge hit at my Christmas Eve dinner!

    Recipe #405803

A friend made mole for a pot luck one time and I really liked the unusual flavor so I decided to attempt to make it myself and it turned out really well! We ate ate it spooned into corn tortillas, but I imagine it would be even better over rice since it's kind of runny and hard to hold in the tortillas.

    Recipe #404218

A curry salad that can be used as a topper for traditional salad or as a sandwich or pita filling...light and healthy! This dish tastes best cold so optimal serving would be if you made it a few hours early and refrigerated it

    Recipe #381940

A great blend of fresh vegetables and flavor! I got the idea from a recipe in Women's Health magazine and have tweaked it a bit. I usually serve it over couscous. Very simple to make!

    Recipe #356542

I got a similar version of this recipe from a co-worker ten years ago and it has been a family favorite and party staple for me since then. Everyone loves it and there are a variety of ways to make it. This one seems to be the favorite. The following posting makes it slightly spicy; you can use less green Tabasco or none at all if you don't want it to be spicy.
