This creamy, gooey, gorgeous white lasagna will impress your special guests and loved ones. Mild, but with many subtle flavors, it makes for elegant comfort food. Though the recipe appears long, it breaks down into easy steps and can be prepared for baking the day before. Prep time includes roasting times (when you can be doing something else). Those who dislike ricotta may not mind it here, as it dissolves into the sauce.
This is my favorite company salad, especially in nice weather. Good with dinner or brunch/lunch. It looks and tastes fantastic and my guests always ask for the recipe. I adapted it from Martha Stewart but it's amazingly easy. (Also, despite the richness of the bacon and avocado, I figured it as only 4 weight watchers points per serving for 6 servings, 6 pts for 4!) I love this salad and I hope you enjoy it, too.
Unlike the one-person Cobb salads at restaurants, here everyone serves him/herself from one big beautiful bowl (though you can of course arrange individual salads, if you prefer). The crab, bacon and avocado make a fantastic combination, the carrots are a colorful, light alternative to shredded cheese, and the caramelized pecans are to-die-for, especially with the blue cheese. YUM! Serves 4 as main dish, 6 as side salad.
I can remember deciding this was my favorite chicken when we lived in Florida -- when I was three or four! It's still my favorite. The curry gives the chicken a wonderful color and adds an exotic flavor to the sweet orange-honey-mustard sauce. I always serve with white rice. 6 WW pts per serving; rice is 3 pts for 3/4 cup.
