My co-worker brought this in to work one morning! Yummy!! The onion-garlic croutons made for a terrific taste and the soup - made it taste like a country gravy. Great for holidays or overnight guest breakfasts! Prep time does not include the overnight time.
This is one of the best banana breads out there. It's very moist and full flavored. Often, I'll put in mini-muffin tins for the kids (cut the baking time)...it is really that good!! Hope you think so too!
Savory little meat pastry treats! Prefect for cocktail/appetizer party. I remember being at a family party when I was a kid - and being scolded for eating too many of them. These are very good! (Cook time does not include the dough chilling)
One of my favorite Christmas treats, and very popular with the Finnish community with coffee. I know, you're thinking prunes..ewww...but they are very good. (the bake time does not include the overnight dough chill time).
Finnish Squeaky Cheese - when eaten warmed, it squeaks. A favorite in the northern UP/Mich area - and among the Finns. My dad often, would take a cube and drop it in his coffee to heat the cheese. It's very mild.
This is not the typical Fruit Cake that one thinks of around the holidays - probably because it doesn't have the citron that most fruit cakes have. Mom has been making this for years, and everyone loves it!
Quick alternative to a tuna casserole. Great tasting comfort food that makes everyone think you worked really hard. A great way to use up leftovers! I serve this with a crusty bread and green beans! Hope you enjoy it too.
When I lived in TX, I was trying to duplicate a light sauce based chicken chow mein similar to one of my favorite take-outs in Minneapolis. This is relatively close and very tasty!! Now that I'm back in the Minneapolis area, I tell my DH that I've forgotten how to make chow mein...
