I changed the combining of the ingredients just to fit my bread making style. I also put the conversions into cups that I did for myself because I am not comfortable with DL yet. We enjoyed these and they taste just like the ones we get in the coffee shop over here. The more sugar and butter you put in the middle the better they become...
Anyone who has ever lived in Utah Valley near Brigham Young University has had and loves these brownies. They are made by a bakery called Sugar N Spice in the Cougareat Food Court. They can be found at BYU events and at most any social event in that area because you can purchase them. This recipe is from the BYU website as the official recipe they use.
I have been using this recipe for years. I found it in my Taste of Home cookbook. I love the crunchy water chestnuts. It is not too overpowering with teriyaki flavor. I usually use Catchup with them even though the flavors would seem to clash. Other guests of mine used ranch spread and liked it. I love these. I usually serve a mixed salad with the baby corns in it (with other vegies) and the combo with the burger is so yummy .
