This recipe is from one of my all time favorite cookbooks which happens to be called, "South of the Border Favorites". You'll soon see why. This is one of those salads that tastes like it was prepared at a restaurant.

The basis of this recipe came out of a Nitty Gritty productions'cookbook titled "The Mexian Cookbook". This cookbook contains many recipes from rural parts of Mexico. This is one of those aromatic recipes that will get your family out of bed Saturday morning.

HARVEST TIME! A great alternative to mac & cheese. We made this several times last season when our garden was producing squash, squash & more squash. This recipe is from one of my very favorite cookbooks, "Necessities & Temptations" by the Junior League of Austin, TX.

    Recipe #65121

This is a very tasty chicken dish that you are sure to enjoy. My husband lived in San Miguel de Allende as a child. We both absolutely love Mexican cuisine. This is our version of a recipe we found in a Better Homes and Garden Mexican Cookbook.

    Recipe #65118

Excellent dip! Discovered this recipe on a weekend road trip. My husband & I drove from Colorado to Kansas one weekend to visit my husband's younger brother. I went to the store to get some snack food for a movie night & found this recipe on the side of a box of "Chicken In A Biskit" crackers. I sometimes add chopped radishes. Yummy!

    Recipe #65116

A great Southern side dish. This recipe was passed down to me by my husband's grandmother, "Honey", a sweet Southern woman who loved to prepare meals for her family. This is my favorite of her side dishes.

    Recipe #65109

EASY & DELICIOUS! My sister-in-law made this for one of my bridal showers over a decade ago. I must have had 5 glasses of it myself. It has a wonderful flavor and goes well with brunch items & desserts. I have given this recipe out many times & have always gotten back a great response. Try it at your next party.

    Recipe #65106

I got this recipe from a fellow Texas Aggie. Whoop! While working at a veterinary clinic in Colorado, my aggie friend would stop by with a warm tray of these yummy appetizers. They didn't last long. Surrounded by dog bones & cat treats, the staff welcomed these much needed human treats. A very simple & delicious recipe.

    Recipe #63298

Don't Say, "Gross!" until you've tried them. Seriously, this is an amazing combinaton. My husband turned his nose up the first time I told him what kind of sandwich I was making him. He now requests them regularly. This recipe comes from the "Winnie-the-Pooh's Picnic Cookbook". These are a great sandwiches to take to the park on a Sunday afternoon, however we tend to eat them more for breakfast or brunch. One day I made them, cut them in to quarters and took them to my office. Everyone loved them. They were all pleasantly surprised. They also make a great conversation piece. It gets everyone talking about weird things they eat (ex. ketchup & pickle sandwiches). I assure you these are MUCH better than ketchup & pickle sandwiches. TRY THEM!!

    Recipe #63294

This recipe is from the "Cooking with Friends" recipe book. "Friends" is my favorite TV show, and this is definitely one of my favorite recipes. I tend to make this when entertaining & am always proud of how it turns out. I always get wonderful reviews & many requests for this recipe. It is listed in the recipe book under Vegetarian Delights. I have found that it also makes an excellent side dish to accompany beef, chicken or fish. This dish has an incredible flavor & goes nicely with a glass of wine.

    Recipe #63288

I have been experimenting with many different recipes in search of an easy & delicious meatball. This is my own creation that I accidently created one day when I was out of milk and bread. I substituted Sociable crackers for bread crumbs & sour cream for milk. My husband raved over the final product & it has been a favorite recipe ever since. I sometimes double the recipe and freeze the leftovers for later use. They reheat nicely and can be used in many different ways. Sandwiches & tossed with pasta are our favorites.
