This was a Slovak traditional cake that was passed down in my family which I make for special occasions and now its my birthday cake. Solo still prints the recipe on the back of its label of Poppy Seed filling. I did not find the recipe in here and wanted to share this truly delectable for all to enjoy since I hate seeing lemon with it-just ruins it. I hear complaints that people think poppy seed is dry and stay away from it. You haven't eaten it properly then! I love poppy seed! It is so addicting! Very moist and good right out of the oven. Even better next day when flavors have mellowed. Its really good cold too. Its so good, it doesn't need frosting!! I will post my lighter version that I use now just for me since I am dieting and for my hypoglycemia. Enjoy!

    Recipe #326405

I have found THEE Starbucks Classic Coffee Cake CopyCat!! You may find slight variations of the cake at different Starbucks locations. Sometimes there is a ribbon of cinnamon running through the middle of the cake, and sometimes the cake is dusted with a bit of powdered sugar. You'll also find some versions with a few chopped pecans in the topping; and that's the version here. Double up on the topping for the ultimate topping to match starbuck's cake..and can use smaller pan if needed. Footnotes To add ribbon of cinnamon to cake, double recipe of topping and reserve half (minus nuts if you like), pour half of batter, use half of doubled recipe, make sure to cover entire cake, pour the rest of the batter and top the cake with the reserve. This batter is very thick!! Option: Dust cake with powdered sugar after cooled to give more a starbucks feel!!

    Recipe #448966

I have discovered a few years back how Texas Roadhouse does their butter-This is THEE closest thing to the real deal!! Easy, simple and very yummie. By far our most favorite restaurant that we wanted to bring home and here it is!! Great on sweet dinner rolls, pancakes, waffles-just about anything-even corn on the cob!!"

    Recipe #447228

This is the best recipe for taste, presentation and easy for decorating, borders, cupcakes, cakes and such! This yields A LOT!! This works very well with KitchenAids mixers that really make a difference in outcome of frosting! If needed, add a little milk or water to thin out but KA's help, really don't need it. Very stable and can withstand room temp!!

    Recipe #454493

This is adaption that I came up with from Recipe #232072 that is no fat and sugar free for dietary reasons. It is chock full of flavor, moist and very healthy!! You can also add to it to suit you. It is lower also in calories!! My six year old even loves it and have requested it already!! I have added to the baseline of this recipe and she did not even know she was eating Squash nor how healthy it was-she thought it was the real deal!! In my version, vanilla extract was added and pumpkin pie spice. For a real kick, I added two handfuls of coconut, 1/2 cup of macadamia nuts, coconut extract and Da'Vinci Sugar Free Caramel Syrup with Fat Free Cream Cheese frosting with Sugar Free Caramel Syrup!! You can also use any Squash or creative..but if you add more ingredients, remember it adds more calories!! Prep time not included for pureed squash although you can use baby food squash-its the something but fresher is better! Enjoy-we do..very delish and Yummy too! Update: If you are going to use just Squash, because of higher water content, OMIT the APPLESAUCE and INCREASE FLOUR TO 3 Cups.. I found this out the hard way. Also, don't use metal pan if you can help it..don't worry squash does turn color the next day. Must be refrigerated as well after you are done with it..

    Recipe #324983

Since I am dieting and have to watch my sugar, I came up with this staple and have many versions of the guilt free french toast-this is my new favorite...yummy! This recipe uses gluten-free bread Ezekiel 4:9 Whole Wheat/Cinnamon Raisin. I usually do overnight soaking them in the egg wash to soften them up, so they can retain the goodness and yumminess of the ingredients since the bread is very chewy-hard to begin with. This process does not make it soggy, makes it better to cook with!! This recipe is enough for two slices of the bread. Preparation includes overnight soak.

    Recipe #326445

This is my adaption to Chocolate Nesquik Brownies, using Strawberry flavor, while adding white chocolate chips-perfect for Valentine's Day occassions!! Very gooey, uber rich unique brownies!! This was created for my daughter's school Valentine's Day Party.

    Recipe #448630

I added a twist to our family traditional Slovak meal. This can be served as a side but we usually eat it as the main course. Usually, it’s just potato dumplings with cheese and bacon but Americanized. Traditional Haluski has goat/sheep cheese from Czechoslovakia that is not available here in the States, so can be mixed with brick cheese or feta.

    Recipe #465810

This is an adaption to an all-natural bar that is very popular that is naturally yummie and very versatile. It tastes like you are eating a candy bar but so healthy. Full of antioxidants and vitamins, protein plus NO Sugar Added-it's nature's candy!! You don't need sugar because its already sweet! Quick and easy, great for snacking,a grab and go bar!! Kid-friendly too!! Raw and no baking, no cooking required!!

    Recipe #447313

Yes, you can have chocolate!!! and not feel guilty!! I came up with this version ever since Hershey's came out with sugar-free milk chocolate bars, my possibilities are now endless for recipes!!! These taste exactly the same as the full-blown version and no difference!! These you can freeze and they won't freeze hard, actually they are better that way I think but you may keep them in the fridge. *Warning* Do not consume over a serving (I know you will because its so good!!) as it will have a laxative effect. You can use Hershey's Sugar free baking chocolate chips too!! Very simple!!

    Recipe #332753

This is my version of Poppy Seed Cake and still go back for seconds as this is truly addicting and very moist!! I make my recipe for my birthday cake and I don't feel an inch!! For more sugar free filling, take 1/2 lb of poppy seed, soak in boiling water overnight. Drain, dry and grind through food chopper, using the finest blade. Add 4 tbsp of sugar free breakfast syrup, 2 tbsp of sugar substitute, juice of 1/2 lemon and mix well and viola!1 You have sugar-free poppy seed filling!!! Diabetic Friendly

    Recipe #326528

I came up with this awesome fruit compote sugar-free to watch the waistline and for my hypoglycemia. This is great warmed up to put on toast, french toast, pancakes, oatmeal almost anything!!! I love it when I have time in the morning to make it when its the best but I usually have to make ahead and reserve it the next morning and nuking it. this is a great baseline and you can add anything you like!! These are guessestimates only due I just eyeball. I used different variations such as using Da'vinci surgar-free syrups, different fruits ie: bosc pears with raisins, cinnamon; coconut with bananas and macademia nuts.. use your imagination!! The baseline is like a caramel-like sauce that compliaments the fruit..yum!! Enjoy!! I do every morning-guilt-free!! If using pears, apples etc type of fruits, cooking time is longer-have to "boil" down to reduce the sauce to come to caramel-like taste (not consistency wise). .

    Recipe #332459

I have search near and far to come close to my favorite muffins that I used to by next door to the corner Convenient Store..they were heaven but unfortunately, they closed doors. So now just by accident, combining two recipes inspirations-I found it!! Very close and very dense and flavorful. I also use this as a base for any bran muffin that I just add or take away. I have a sugar free and fat free version of this that I will post. I really enjoy them and I have had raves from my older neighbors who loved them as well.

    Recipe #336399

For those who love the filling but cannot, don't need, don't want the sugar in full blown version of the stuff-low calorie too! No cooking reguired!!

No after taste and all natural!!

    Recipe #442615

This has been in my family for generations coming from Czechoslovakia. Traditionally, it is mixed with goat/sheep cheese from Czechoslovakia but since its not available here in the States, we use brick cheese or feta. We eat this as a main meal but can be served as a side.
