I could never make a good pastry until I got this recipe from my sister, and I don't know where she acquired it. This freezes well and because it makes several pies it's great to have in the freezer all the time.

    Recipe #353902

This isn't for the faint of heart, but take a deep breath and begin!! I acquired this recipe out of a magizine given out by my local Safeway store. Prep. time is about two and a quarter hours. Makes eighteen to twenty slices. Will keep in the fridge for up to two days. It was a resounding success at our family Christmas dinner. When you spread the caramel-hazlenut butter cream it doesn't seem like enough but I covered the cake as best as I could and it was fine, but when you separate the mixtures into the bowls you could probably add a little more than the 2/3 cup the recipe calls for if you like.

    Recipe #345996

This recipe came from a Church cookbook. I like them as they are very easy to make, can be made ahead and never fail to be a hit. Yield depends on how big the balls are made.

Also this serves a large quantity or it can be reduced to serve less. Nice for a dinner party. Cook time is approx. as it depends on how long it takes to reduce the sauce.

The description in the Robin Hood Cookbook where this recipe came from was that in 1880 a young man would take his sweetheart to the restaurant and offer her the usual treat: spruce beer and molasses hands - so called because handfulls of cookie dough were put on sheets to bake.

Spicy, moist cake which is why it is my all time favourite Gingerbread. It came from a Robin Hood Cookbook I got for a wedding shower present.

The orange flavored liqueur and the sauce make this recipe Glorious!!!! This recipe came from a Betty Crocker cookbook. Great for Christmas morning. Cook time is per batch. I double the sauce recipe as we like lots of it.

    Recipe #66709

I usually double the recipe, so I use a lb. of both the ground beef & the Italian Sausage because we really like both of them together. I can't get Dave's Wing Sauce where I live now so you could probably use any wing sauce, I myself use Bull's Eye original barbeque sauce and we like that. Prep. time is approx.

I like the combination of pineapple and cherries, gives it a tropical flavor. Got the recipe from a friend but don't know where she got it. Cook time is only for the base. The meringue can burn quite easily so keep a close eye on it.

If you like dumplings, you will probably like this. I don't know where the recipe came from except my Mother used to make this when we were kids. The blueberries are cooked for only as long as it takes for them to cook into a sauce, so cook time is only for the dumplings when put in the sauce.
