A special thank you to Susan Ray Brown, and her Salt Rising Bread Project! After several e-mails back and forth, and her encouragement, and several blunders on my part, (which Susan helped to correct), I have found the perfect recipe for "true" S.R.B! It takes time and patience, but well worth it! Take time to check out Susan's Website! It is full of excellent information! Help to keep this tradition alive! Susan R. Brown, Salt Rising Bread, The Project. Plus, if you have never eaten this bread, you are in for a very special treat!

    Recipe #312539

This an old Amish Recipe that my Mother passed down to me. She made it often and it was enjoyed by all! It has a hint of lemon and almond flavor! It is usually baked in small (4") baking dishes, however, it can also be used for pie fillings. The flavors are more prevalent after a day or so of cooling. Hope you enjoy!

    Recipe #306170

This recipe was passed down to me from my Mother. Growing up in a Mennonite community we had this often. Very tasty if you like noodles, potatoes, and cabbage.

    Recipe #305440

A favorite recipe I found several years ago. I was offered a piece of this at a local function. After I got my portion, I noticed that it was going fast, so I asked for the recipe. If you like applesauce, peanut butter, and raisins, this might be for you.

    Recipe #303935

This a Pork Loin cooked in a skillet, but outside on the Grill. It is loaded with vegetables. I have tried this several times, changing it from time to time, but have settled on the following. Hope you enjoy it also.

    Recipe #292931

An old recipe with sliced Zucchini, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Bake in a crumble crust and serve hot or cold! Tastes like Apple Cobbler!

    Recipe #349757

Being a chili lover, I have tried many types. Some very good, some not to good. This one is very good, simple, easy, and not very expensive. It has lots of chicken. Some of you will like it. This recipe is not to spicy, but with a few modifications it can be. Flavor it to suit your tastes.

    Recipe #331968

This recipe comes from a Jewish Baker who said it was the Sabbath Bread of Jewish neighborhoods of pre-World War II. It was originally Potato Bread. The Onions were added at a later date. Since then, I have added chopped tomatoes with green chilies! (Rotelle) This bread became a Sunday favorite.

    Recipe #328317

Low fat, Low Calorie, and Low Carb. Bars. I rec'd this from a friend several years ago. I have "tweaked" it enough so that it is a little different from the original recipe. Everyone that has tried it seems to like it enough to empty the pan. Hope you like it as well!

    Recipe #295829

Very moist, filling, large and tasty cookie! Made this in a hurry a few days ago for my wife and daughter as they were wanting some cookies for their trip to Branson Mo.. I was caught off guard, but decided to bake a cookie that I had been "toying" with! Son's and Daughter's, this will knock your socks off! I baked them, named them, and sent them on their way. I got a call that evening! They had shared with friends and everyone was wanting the recipe. Try it ! Use a ice cream scoop to drop them on the cookie sheet! Makes 14 Large Cookies!

    Recipe #293593

I have tried many Cornbread recipes. I finally "hit" upon a recipe of my own that has turned out real well. When I make it, there never seems to be enough of it. Hope you enjoy it !
