Don't let the name fool you; this is not your grandma's old fashioned fruitcake!! This comes from Taste of Home's Fast Fixes with Mixes and it makes a beatifully moist quick bread that's full of flavor!
My Mom and I share a love for homemade soups and share and compare recipes all the time. This is what we had for lunch the other day. Originally from allrecipes.com, this is my version of a mushroom soup that tastes like the very popular cream of mushroom soup in the red and white label, but without the cream. Hope you like it as well.
I recently went to an estate sale and picked up several old and worn handwritten cookbooks. While a lot of the recipes are classics I will post some of the more unusual ones here. Some of the ingredient amounts are not specific, but I will do my best to make educated guesses where needed. For this recipe I'm guessing at the amount of cookies to be about 4 dozen, as well as the size of the cake mix.
Many of us seem to be quilty of the same practice; clipping recipes from magazines and newspapers in hopes of "trying them soon". I cleaned out my stash of saved recipes the other day and plan on submitting them here for safekeeping, and also to share with all of you. This one is from a magazine.

This is from my local newspaper.
