Oh boy is this good. I found the recipe on line. I used smoked chicken sausage, brown rice, left out the red chili flakes and added diced tomatoes to the recipe. It is quite spicy but oh so good around a nice campfire. Just add a big hunk of french bread and it is heaven. I am going to try it in my crock pot.
This is a wonderful fruit cake. It is my friend's secret family recipe, after I tasted it I begged and begged for the recipe. After a couple of years of having me beg, she finally relented and gave me this recipe. It is many years old so there were not packaged and chopped fruit available. It was a lot of work to make. I'm putting it here so I don't lose it.
When my daughter, Niki, was learning to cook she found this recipe someplace and everybody loved it. All the family asked for this when she was cooking. Most of her other dishes we didn't like. She has become a much better cook now but this is still our favorite.
I love this recipe because it is so fast and easy. It tastes wonderful. I found this on an ad for Miracle Whip. This recipe works best with white fish. I tried this on salmon, it was not as good. Salmon was thicker and took much longer to cook. I had to wrap it in foil and bake to finish.
This is a recipe that was handed down in my husband's family. You need a Pizzelle iron. It is an easy recipe. It is the only cookie recipe I know without looking at a recipe. Just remember: 3,3,3 and 1,1. We have to make it every Christmas or it just isn't Christmas.
