I came across several different recipes for this Polish dish and liked them all, but couldn't find one that incorporated everything I was looking for. So, true to self, I decided to create my own. Here is my version of this delicious cuisine with common ingredients that most of us keep on hand. I hope you enjoy!
Comfort food at it's best! I don't usually measure when I make this dish, so the ingredients are approximations. You may need more or less of an ingredient to suit your tastes. If you want a cheesy dish, use the cheddar cheese soup, otherwise use the cream of mushroom to use as a creamy base.
This is an extremely easy recipe for perfect crock pot chicken and potatoes. It smells wonderful and it's great to come home to a ready meal that only took 10 minutes to prepare. The chicken falls apart and the potatoes practically melt in your mouth! The potatoes cook in the juices from the chicken, so there's no need to season. They have great flavor. Add a vegetable as a side and you're good to go!
If you have looked at some of my other recipes, you know I am a lover of comfort food. I noticed the fiesta nacho canned soup one day in the grocery store and started to imagine what dish I could center around the soup. This is the result! Enjoy!
This is the simplest cornbread recipe you will ever find. It's a sweet twist on a classic. The cornbread comes out perfect every time. We like to slather it with butter and enjoy it with a beef roast or beef stew. Adding 1/3 cup of sugar is just an estimate...I probably add closer to 1/2 cup.
I am becoming a huge fan on the crock pot. This recipe is something I whipped together on a whim. It was my first time cooking a roast and I felt if I did it in a crock pot there was NO WAY I could mess it up! Turned out great and meat was so tender, it was more like a stew! Extremely easy to make right before work so you come home to a wonderful meal.
This is my favorite soup to make! It's great for any season and is so customizable. The measurements are rough guesses as I don't EVER measure when making this recipe. It's that easy! You add your ingredients to your own tastes and season as you go. You can also easily cook this meal in a slow cooker. So, beware, my measurements might not be accurate at all, but as you make this soup, you will quickly see that measurements aren't necessary.
