    I came down with the Norwalk Virus over my holiday break. NOT FUN I tell you!! Well, introducing food back to my system caused a LOT of nausea. I heard about ginger's nausea-curing properties and adapted a tea drink my friend used when her ex was sick. It doesn't taste fabulous, I'll admit, but it settled my stomach pretty quickly. The 7up sweetens the drink a bit, and bonus, the carbonation in the drink settles your stomach a tiny bit because it helps you *burp*. This is not a proven recipe, but it's also one that shouldn't hurt you further. It helped me, I hope it helps you. At the very least, you could probably chew some fresh ginger. The ginger is the ingredient that actually helps with nausea so if all you have is ginger, chew on it! I wish you well!

    I work at a kids day camp and am constantly in search of basic recipes that give kids plenty to do in a limited amount of time. This is a generic recipe that isn't a brain teaser, but I thought i'd post it because as simple as it sounds, sometimes it's hard to come up with recipes designed for kids. I like the recipe because it doesn't involve much knifework and is great for my 6-9 yr old kitchen program.
