This is authentic and easy --my modified version from the book, "The Art of Jewish Cooking" by Jennie Grossinger. I use lean ground chuck for this recipe. My version omits the beef bones but you can add them to the simmering sauce if you like.

I made this up from things I had on hand-and by reading other's recipes-no cream soups in this--use kosher canned chicken broth if available since it tastes much better ( her in west palm beach, it is available at most supermarkets)--I also use "parboiled rice"-like uncle bens.

    Recipe #351007

This is sweet as all pina colada's are--this is not a real dry "martini" but a nice drink served up in a martini glass-so easy...I have made this with dark aged rum.

    Recipe #347369

This is sweet as all pina colada's are--this is not a real dry "martini" but a nice drink served up in a martini glass-so easy...

    Recipe #346981

This is the way to make soup-you can alter the recipe a little here and there but this is the best. Make sure that you include the chicken neck ( and the cleaned feet! ) in the soup. Use kosher chicken and canned soup-its tastes better. My recipe adaptation uses skinned chicken so there is a lot less fat to be skimmed off in this soup. If you want very clear soup then cool first, strain the soup through cheesecloth and reheat, cut up chicken and vegetables and add back--but I served the soup as is.

    Recipe #345626

I made this up from a combination of recipes - I used what I had on hand and the cake came out wonderful. I use the Kitchen-aid.

    Recipe #345296

I adapted this recipe from "The art of Jewish Cooking" by Jennie Grossinger of the famous Catskills "Grossinger's Resort" This cakes is very simple yet delicious. Make sure that you use fresh, crispy apples! I use the kitchenaid for the whole thing.

    Recipe #345262

I grew up with cholent that my mother and grandmother cooked all day and night...this is my version that is a lot quicker and a little different. Cholent is a traditional Eastern European Jewish dish which cooked for 24 hours. My family used kosher meat of course-this dish tastes better with kosher beef--i am not sure why. I like to serve this over noodles. You can substitute Flanken for chuck

    Recipe #334364

i use jiffy or martha white mixes

easy, healthy and wonderful -- serve as an appetizer with crusty bread.

    Recipe #323346

This is a SWEET but strong drink-- I like cocktails that only use a few ingredients which I have on hand- this is a simple refreshing summer cocktail. I also prefer the 100 proof Southern Comfort for an extra kick.

    Recipe #322419

This comes out great- i usually serve this with noodles. I came up with this recipe with things i had on hand-then trial and error. I love the pressure cooker- the meals which I make after work taste like I have been cooking all day!

    Recipe #321786

My grandmother made these for me when I was young- grandma lived until 103- she ate these potatoes every day. I like Yukon Gold potatoes best for this dish.

    Recipe #319810

I made this up from a bunch or recipes -- it is wonderful served with rice pilaf, or noodles. The meat is so tender-falls off the bone! Time-- does not include natural steam cooling time

    Recipe #316418

I made this with "Tomasello Winery" Cherry Wine- made from 100% cherries-- I found this wine at a local south florida publix supermarket. I also use Japanese made Sake-its much better than domestic.
