The chicken stock adds lovely flavour to this salad.

I have served this to so many people who have sworn they do not like broccoli and they have ended up loving it! Very simple, only 5 ingredients, and keeps well in the refrigerator for a few days. The cooking time stated is merely to crisp the bacon - if you don't even want to do that, you could use bottled imitation bacon bits.

I love this recipe because its not only delicious, but so easy to make! Despite its simplicity, it can be presented as a "fancy" dish for guests if baked and served on a glass, fish-shaped platter.

I found this recipe in the Australian Women's Weekly Chicken Cookbook. Really tasty and easy - my family loved it, so I decided it was a keeper.

The best fish cakes I have ever had. So sad that tinned pilchards (or sardines) in tomato sauce don't appear as a known ingredient on Zaar as these beat all the other fish cake recipes (for me). Perhaps a few other "foreign" non-American members will have this ingredient at hand and give this a bash. Preparation time excludes making mashed potato - can use instant mash if desired).

Lamb chops with a sweet and sticky sauce. Yummy, but quite rich so serve with "light" accompaniments. Preparation time excludes marinating time of approx. 2 hours.

True avocado ritz is normally made with prawns (or shrimp), but this budget version using canned tuna is also delish! I normally serve this as a starter, but have occasionally had one or two avo halves as a lunch or summer main meal.

From BBC Food's 'Rachel's Favourite Foods'. They looked so simple, few ingredients, yet tasty and elegant. Can't wait to try!

3 easy steps! I often serve this as a side dish at barbeques and everyone wants the recipe. People often can't quite decide whether to eat it as a veg or pudding, so they often do both! Great hot or cold. As all the ingredients can be pre-mixed, I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who tries this dish while camping, using e.g. a cast iron dish over an open fire ?

Besides a very pretty and elegant presentation, this is SO simple to make. The beef is really tender and juicy. Edited 20/05/08 - Recently found a wonderful substitute on Zaar for the avo/mayo blend used in this dish, thanks to Sharon for Recipe #202316 (202316).

A very tasty and impressive dish for guests that takes quite some preparation, but well worth the effort. To cut down on preparation time on "the day". the pastry and stuffing can be made ahead. Alternatively, the completed dish can be made ahead and frozen for up to one month.

I don't always want the saltiness of celery salt and I battle to find celery seeds, so I thought this recipe was a useful keeper! Edited 24 July 2008 : I didn't want to make this recipe public until I had tried it myself - This makes a really fragrant, flavoursome celery spice! A great, and simple, way to use up all your celery leaves.

Creamy, brandy liqueur that you can fortunately start drinking straight away!

    Recipe #296888

Sweet and mildly curried salad. Great for barbeques. Cooking time is for pre-cooking the rice.

    Recipe #294040

You and your family can have these muffins every day for breakfast or lunch without any fuss as this mixture can be kept in the refrigerator for a month. They're great for popping into kiddie's lunch-boxes. Just bake as many as you need, as required. The yield given is approximate as this depends on the size of your muffin tins.

    Recipe #295381

An impressive starter to serve to dinner guests that is quick and easy and can be prepared ahead.

    Recipe #299582

Tried and tested - Easy and tasty. Use as a vegetable side dish or main meal for the vegetarian not-so-hungry's.

    Recipe #291799

In Africa we serve this on top of "mieliepap" - just as delicious atop mash, rice, or cold meats.

    Recipe #295250

From BBC Food's Chef At Home. Don't be put off by the seemingly long list of ingredients - this is super easy.
