These sweet and chewy bars are chock full of goodies; a great treat for kids to eat and/or help make. I made these with the help of my 4 y/o on a rainy Saturday. I measured, he poured and stirred. Cut bars smaller to serve more people. I believe this recipe originated from a brand name baking cookbook.

    Recipe #92872

An easy, stove top dish for the busy cook; it's flavorful and rich. Serve this as a busy weeknight dinner or fancy it up for dinner guests and serve with a vegetable, salad, bread and some wine. Please note: you must use butter, no substitutions. This recipe is courtesy of Southern Living magazine.

    Recipe #92868

This main meat dish is so flavorful and delicious; you can serve this to your family or dinner guests who won't guess that they are eating a recipe out of a "diet" cookbook. This recipe can be eaten during Phase 1 of the diet. Recipe courtesy of the South Beach Diet Cookbook.

    Recipe #92865

Very easy and simple; a great way to prepare an egg that kids get a kick out of.

    Recipe #89043

This sweet, cool wrap sandwich is great for the warm weather; for picnics, lunches, quick dinners. Can also be wrapped and cut into thirds for a small appetizer serving for a shower or party. Also kid friendly for a snack or lunch.

    Recipe #88692

For the French Onion soup lover who loves soup and who also loves cabbage. Very easy.

    Recipe #86258

This salad is cool and refreshing; very easy to make. Similar to an ambrosia salad but the orzo gives it a different twist. Serve this at your next shower, picnic, potluck, summer BBQ, Easter dinner, etc. Prepare the night before serving.

    Recipe #85679

Baked fish with a nice breaded coating. I used this recipe for whiting fillets and served with browned butter for dipping. This recipe is courtesy of Southern Living "Our Best Easy Weeknight Favorites" cookbook.

    Recipe #85364

A very tender roast with lots of flavor; lots of garlic flavor! A recipe by Emeril Lagasse, this recipe is courtesy of the Food Network, with a little bit of changes made to the original. I found this while seaching for a recipe for my sirlion tip roast and wanted to share it. I served this with some warm buttered bread. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

    Recipe #83859

Easy, tasty AND low fat healthy, this can be served at many occasions: brunch, showers, picnics and potlucks. Also a nice change to the standard "fruit cup" usually served before wedding reception and holiday dinners. Serve as a dessert or as a snack, which is kid-pleasing too. DO NOT serve to any child under the age of 1, due to the honey ingredient (or omit the honey, if so). A make-ahead no cook dish, cook time is for chill time. Serves 8-10, please double recipe for a larger crowd. This recipe is courtesy of Southern Living.

    Recipe #81924

Oh so good!!! For anyone who doesn't like black olives, like me, this dip may just change your opinion about that topic. I had one bite of this dip, then another and so on......my co-worker made this on New Year's eve and was kind enough to pass it on. I love the basic "spinach dip" served in a bread bowl and this recipe is a refreshing change. Great party dip, anytime of the year! Cook time includes 6 hours chilling.

    Recipe #81313

Posted per request and courtesy of Southern Living, this recipe calls for beef broth, salt and tomato sauce. Serve with meatloaf, over mashed potatoes or whatever else.

    Recipe #81072

Posted per request and courtesy of Southern Living, this recipe uses chicken broth and sugar. Serve over mashed potatoes or whatever else.

    Recipe #81070

A vert easy recipe, posting as a request in a thread for brunch ideas. My great aunt from West Virginia used to make these for breakfast for her overnight guests at her beachhouse in North Carolina, along with home fries and stewed tomatoes. Stuff biscuits with scrambled egg, ham or bacon, if you wish.

    Recipe #76010

This crock pot sandwich is a nice change from the standard Hamburger BBQ. Serve at showers, parties and picnics or serve as dinner on busy nights; it's so easy!

    Recipe #75649

These are great as an appetizer or cut the recipe in half to serve as a side dish for a dinner serving about 4-6 guests. Serve with sour cream on the side. Cooking time includes cooking of bacon.

    Recipe #75647

A very tasty and easy dinner in less than an hour. I found this in a Southern Living cookbook and thought it was worth passing on. I served this with Uncle Ben's Garlic and Butter rice and a vegetable.

    Recipe #75207

I saw this today in the new Family Circle magazine and thought they sounded delicious; a nice addition to the usual holiday cookie/dessert tray. Also posted as request in a thread; this would be great as a bridal party/bridal shower/wedding favor type of gifts. Prep time does not include refrigeration time.

    Recipe #72345

This is courtesy of the Hidden Valley Original Ranch Salad Dressing & Seasoning Mix Contest hosted at our local fair last week. This was the first place winning recipe. With the holidays around the corner, I thought it was a perfect time to post. This is always a huge hit and I always get asked for the recipe....it is sooo easy and very flavorful; you don't really need gravy over these potatoes. When I double this for a larger crowd, this fits nicely in a 13x9 casserole dish.
