A nice change of pace from the usual stuffing casserole. Found through Simple & Delicous magazine...(sorry I did not clip out the submitter's name). A great way to cook a side dish in the summer without heating up the oven.

    Recipe #282573

From Light and Tasty Magazine...submitted by H. Grant. My family really enjoyed this recipe this past holiday season. Most commented they liked it because it did not have marshmallows and also loved the addition of apple. I think it would be good with a handful of dried cranberries sprinkled on top too.

    Recipe #282569

From Light and Tasty magazine, Dec. 2004..submitted by D. Anderson. I have to admit, I've never tried couscous because it always looks so dry when I've seen it. I'm posting this recipe in hopes someone will review it and tell me if this one will be different. I did not see anything similar on this site. I'm hoping this will get me going in the right direction with a healthy alternative for side dishes. (Time to make is a guess as I've not made this before but it does include the time to chill the couscous).

    Recipe #282568

My mom gave me this recipe that she "adopted" and then adjusted. I've named it after her since she did all the taste testing until it was just right.

    Recipe #282367

A tasty dip that is lower in fat. Adapted from Kraft Kitchens.

    Recipe #282362

Adopted from Kraft Magazine. A nice change of pace from the standard baked breaded chicken. Usually I don't worry about how to serve a dish but they recommended making a really light dressing and placing the chicken on a bed of spinach leaves with this dressing. It was yummy and I'm glad I took that extra step.

    Recipe #282358

Adapted from Quick Cooking Dec 2001 recipe. A very pretty side dish that goes well with a variety of meats.

    Recipe #282349

A great version of serving carrots that even kids love. The cinnamon is such a nice touch and the honey is a great substitute for sugar. I hope you enjoy it too.

    Recipe #282352

A very nice change to the standard cinnamon oatmeal. The original recipe called for walnuts but I enjoy almonds instead. Ready in 15 minutes!

    Recipe #282167

Using fresh brewed coffee and cocoa powder - not a syrup. From Taste of Home Cooking School notes.

    Recipe #281139

From Taste of Home Cooking Show notes - created by TOH Test Kitchens. Tangy and the flavors really come through. Allow at least 2 hours for sauce to cool before serving.

    Recipe #281030

Low-fat version which uses applesauce. Found in Light & Tasty Mag Feb 07 - submitted by J. Grasby. Nice and light cake.

    Recipe #281014

Quick Cooking magazine cut-out - not sure of year or author. Simple and very sweet. They are always a hit.

    Recipe #280705

An adjusted recipe from Simple & Delicious Dec. 2006.

    Recipe #280514

Make a day ahead to allow the flavors to set in the salad. Nice tangy dressing goes well with the different squashes.

    Recipe #280468

From Simple & Delicious magazine May2006. I really enjoyed this recipe as did my DH but my kids did not like it. I'm posting this anyway because eventually they will move out and I won't have to hear their complaints! =) ***Updated ingredients*** I've made this again and my DD did too and we both feel it needs a bit more sauce - so I've adjusted the original recipe to include tomato sauce.

    Recipe #280431

Nice for a brunch or even use as a nice snack. Combination of coconut, almonds and mini chocolate chips. Yummy!

    Recipe #280419

Presented in the Simple & Delicious Mag from Dec '06 and submitted by N. Gunn. I've not had to change one thing. This is a recipe that uses refrigerated crescent rolls. Passive time includes up to 15 minutes baking and 10 minutes cooling.

    Recipe #280415

From Taste of Home Magazine April 2006 I've not tried this yet (1/08) but want to keep this for an idea for a spring/summer meal.

    Recipe #280232

From TOH 1998 Cookbook submitted by L. Young. Very kid friendly recipe. Allow 3 hours of chilling time. 3 ingredients needed.
