This chicken is herb seasoned and baked in a marinade. These ingredients give the chicken a very dark color but the taste is simply amazing and you will not believe how good it smells while it is baking! Succulent is the word my husband uses to describe it and he requests it quite often. My four children love it too and I have to bake two chickens each time I make it. They leave nothing but the bones! One try and it will become one of your favorites too.

    Recipe #358911

Where I live everyone has their own version of a local favorite " shrimp sauce." Served over angel hair pasta it can be a very elegant dinner. I have several variations to this basic recipe. You can use crawfish tails instead of shrimp. Also you can use a nice white wine instead of evaporated milk. Sometimes I add mushrooms...you get the idea!

    Recipe #357685

My grandmother, from Jellico Tennessee, was a great cook and was truly loved for her chicken and dumplings. My mother was given her recipe and served it quite often since it is very economical and delicious. I have been cooking them for about 20 years now and have added my own personal touches to the recipe. They are to be served in a bowl, not on a plate. It is the creamy, flavorful, gravy-like broth that makes them so delicious. I haven't changed anything about the wonderful dumplings. They are fluffy and soft. They are unbelievably simple to make and just remember don't over-wet or over-work the dough. This recipe would be perfect for a family reunion or church social. It will make exactly (20) 1-cup servings. It does taste good leftover just add a little water or milk when reheating and reheat slowly on low heat. Enjoy!

    Recipe #352020

This recipe is a favorite of my family. It is a great recipe for parties. Even the little ones eat it up. It is full of flavor and some find it addictive! You can also cook a pork roast with this recipe for bbq pork sandwiches. You will just have to carefully pick the meat to remove all fat before adding the bbq sauce. We like our bbq beef on toasted buns with mustard and pickle or a spoonful of homemade coleslaw.
