Biji Salak - Sticky Rice Balls in Sweet Coconut Sauce
    Handle

This is a popular Indonesian dessert. So Sweet but SO yummy! When preparing the rice balls, the water quantity is only a guideline. The dough should be smooth and soft. If the rice cakes are dry when shaped, they will be incredibly tough and almost inedible once cooked.

Pan-Seared Rib Eyes With Mustard & White Wine Cream Sauce

This is a recipe similar to the rib-eye recipe that the bar/grill I worked for made. It was delish! They would serve with thin crispy vidalia slices stacked on top, with a side of parsley red potatoes that would taste delish with the sauce!

These are quite common in India... This is my version! I buy bakery breadcrumbs b/c they just taste better than the "stuff" you buy in cans at the grocery store... and I get 2xs the amount for 99cents. Servings will depend on how large/small you make your cutlets.

    Cereal Bar Bites
    Handle

I use Nutragrain Cereal Bars for these delightful snacks. I know these bars probably aren't the healthiest, but this was a daily snack for me in high school when I played volleyball. While the other gals sat and ate a few snickers bars or something, I was munching these bites. These HAVE to be better for me than snickers bars! LOL Nutragrain bars are a soft, cereal bar. Ive never tried any other kind of bar except Nutragrain brand. My favorite bar flavors for this are mixed berry and strawberry!

    Cauliflower in Chilli Butter Sauce
    Handle

This is a recipe my DH actually came up with... well, actually it was a recipe that he changed to his tastes lol... I always tell my DH how much I LOVE this cauliflower.... I could seriously eat this every day if it didn't have so much fat and calories lol but forget about that stuff just once and try this... you wont regret it!!! you can adjust the sauce ingredients to your liking.... making more if you want lots of sauce, or making less if you dont like as much sauce!! :)

    Breaded Chili Shrimp
    Handle

This is a delicious recipe my mother-in-law shared with me, along with her recipe for Meet Mersang (konkani for chili paste).

    Recipe #132576

    Select
    Meet Mersang (Chili Paste)
    Handle

Meet Mirsang is a Konkani word for a chilli paste which is used for marinating/coating Fish/seafood etc for shallow frying etc. Traditionally it is made with a powder called "Bafat Powder" but this powder is usually only found in Mangalore and the surrounding areas.... and therefore most people will not be able to find it. You could make your own (see my recipe)...you wouldnt be sorry! I will post more recipes using this powder :-) We've also used it to marinate meats and such to grill. It can even be used on some veggies to be fried etc! for the ginger and garlic pastes, I simply run fresh garlic and fresh ginger over a fine microplane to get a smooth paste. You may need more or less vinegar to make a smooth paste. It should NOT be powdery at all... but a smooth paste. Be sure not to make it runny either. This will store beautifully for a long period of time in a jar or airtight container in the refrigerator. The more you want to store, the more you make. This makes enough for several uses.

    Recipe #132575

    Select
    Volcanic Chocolate Truffle Cakes!
    Handle

I developed this recipe specifically for RSC, intended for the adventurer. One might look at the ingredients and be hesitant, but this isn't one of those recipes you'll make to use up ingredients on hand. This is a recipe you'll run out to get chickpeas (garbanzo beans) for! I PROMISE YOU. I had several people try these, not knowing the ingredients it was made with. None of them had a clue that there were chickpeas in this. They all loved it and two of them wanted seconds (the others were too full!). This is a delicious dessert, that is much healthier! Don't let the instructions scare you. It's really simple!!!! I do hope you enjoy!
