In 1960's I recently returned from 2 weeks in the Bavarian region of Germany. I discovered Jagerschnitzel the first day and was hooked. I ate it at 4 different restaurants (from a five star restaurant down to a truck stop). It was different each time. This is an excellent version, I got from a Chef. He may add a little additional seasoning to the gravy to make it absolutely perfect. This is a delicious dish I ordered again and again. It is best served with French fries to clean up the remaining gravy and a nice garden salad Pork cutlets are pounded thin, breaded, and fried, then topped with a sour cream mushroom gravy.

This is a delicious recipe for ham and potato soup that a friend gave to me. Sun-dried tomatoes, either in olive oil, seasoned, or plain, add a gourmet touch and great flavor to many dishes and salads. But the price in the stores is exorbitant! Did you know it is incredibly easy to make your own sun-dried tomatoes at home with no special equipment? The quality can be better than any you've bought and now you have an easy way to use your excess tomatoes, as well as have them for use in the winter. They make excellent gifts, too.

For those who like it spicy, it’s easy to turn up the heat on these potatoes by adding more chili powder or jalapenos for extra kick. O.K. Although this looks tasty, it also sounds like a lot of trouble! A pan for cooking te potatoes, another for cooking bacon, another for baking?! Surely this could be modified for less mess. Cooking a dish before having to cook it again is a little much. But it not hard at all with leftover and less clean up on the dish to do.

    Recipe #507151

The tangy lemon flavor of this no-fuss bar dessert is especially delicious on a warm day, It reminds me of my grandkid's selling lemonade on the sidewalk.

This marinade can be used on practically any meat or Mexican-style dish. You'll get a great lime and cilantro flavor without overpowering the flavor of the meat. I made this marinade and used is on boneless chicken thighs and thin sliced sirloin steaks. Everyone loved it! I soaked both the chicken and steak all day and we ate it without any other seasoning. And the leftovers were even better the next day and even a few days later!

It just takes a few minutes to make wonderful, homemade noodles. All you need is flour, egg and a pinch of salt 2 tablespoons of milk. What a tasty addition to fresh chicken soup! My grand kids love these noodles in chicken broth with shredded chicken. If you are in a hurry you can drop little chunks of the mix into boiling broth instead of rolling, cutting, and letting dry. They are more like dumplings than noodles this way. (They must be VERY small chunks because if they aren't dried first they puff up...)

    Recipe #497918

Honey butter is very good on homemade white bread. I ate and made this many times as a kid. You may also use peanut butter instead of butter. Delicious!
