A traditional beef and bean chili that rated a big compliment from my other half who had NEVER raved so much about a recipe. It's fairly spicy but not so hot that you can't eat it. You can adjust the chili powder and cumin to taste.
The cake tastes like an inside out devil dog or hostess cupcake only better. You always have the ingredients on hand. Don't shorten the mixing time. Use stick butter or margarine. The icing recipe makes a liberal amount so I never double it.
This recipe is so close to the Salsa served at Pappasitos that you will swear you are there. Every time I serve this people ask for the recipe. Best part is that it is so easy and doesn't require fresh tomatoes so it works all winter.
