Although this sauce is wonderful as a base for pasta or pizza sauce, we also us it as a base for cioppino.

    Recipe #62110

Although this may seem like a lengthy process, all of the work is done in advance. The end result is delicious comfort food. I serve garlic mashed potatoes and whatever vege is fresh at the time.

I love scallops! Serve these as a nice first course or a light main dish. The cook time does not take into account that some things can be done simultaneously.

    Recipe #61106

This is a great all purpose bbq sauce for chicken, ribs, roasts, etc.

    Recipe #61102

Here is a nifty little side dish. It's inexpensive and really quite easy to prepare. Plus, they can be boiled in advance and sauteed just before serving. These little dumplings are kind of like spaetzle and would go nicely with anything grilled. You could also combine them with any number of sauces: tomato, cheese, etc. I hope you enjoy them!

    Recipe #61101

This recipe comes from the Blackberry Farm Inn in Tennessee. I found it in an old Bon Appetite magazine. The prep time does not reflect the chilling time of the pastry dough.

    Recipe #61097

This is a great spread to have on hand. It freezes well and can be thawed in the microwave if necessary. Use it as a spread on toasted slices of baguette, or crackers. Prep time does not reflect the overnight soaking of the beans.

    Recipe #60859

This recipe is intended to be used in my "Spinach Salad with Shrimp" recipe, which is also in the data base. However, it could be tossed with a variety of things such as boiled potatoes, asparagus, broccoli, or any spinach salad.

    Recipe #60796

All of the work in this recipe can be done in advance. Keep the butter at room temperature and refrigerate the asparagus until ready to cook.

    Recipe #60788

Garlic mellows considerably when it's roasted, so don't be alarmed by the large quantity of it. This soup is delicious and can be served as a first course for dinner or as a main dish for dinner or lunch with the addition of some realy great chewy bread. Enjoy!

    Recipe #60712

This came from an old Bon Appetit magazine and is still one of my favorites. It's flavorful and very easy to prepare, but not quite as sinful as real fried chicken.

    Recipe #60525

The vegetables and sauce can be prepared in advance and chilled in separate containers until ready to use. When ready to use simply combine them in a pot and heat them until serving temperature, or use your microwave. Very, very easy.
