This is a really simple recipe that kids love....have them help! I found this in Midwest Living, June 2004. one hour chill time not included

    Recipe #94949

SO easy, so good. Goes great with BBQ'd food and uses produce from your garden or your farmer's market purchases. Cook time is chillin' time.

    Recipe #94939

This is another great, do-ahead, type recipe that's so 'after-work friendly'. I throw this together in the morning, let it marinate all day and then toss it on the grill when I get home. Cook the rice while the chicken's on the grill and you have dinner in about 45 minutes. Prep time doesn't include marinating time since you have a choice of quick or longer marinating.

    Recipe #94931

A very different, tasty sandwich. Serve with some soup for a nice supper for two. I found this one in a complimentary copy of 'Real Simple' that I found in my mailbox.

    Recipe #94926

** I'm changing my description to dedicate this recipe to my doctor, Dr.M.C., who sliced her finger carving up some pulled pork the day before my surgery. Dr. C., use this recipe and you will not need to use a knife to cut the fat out, just pull it out with your fingers. And thanks for being a very good doc! This is a recipe that I only do about once every 1-2 years because it does take all day to do. But, I have to say it's worth the time! There are all sorts of different 'carolina style' sauces....the one that I use is a Piedmont or Lexington style sauce. These sandwiches taste excellent with coleslaw and ice cold beer. Adapted from 'Barbecued Ribs, Smoked Butts and Other Great Feeds'.

    Recipe #94727

This is a great, quick meal that's wonderful for doing after work. Any white fish fillet will work with this recipe and when you can get good, summery, red tomatoes you can sub them for the canned. I serve this with a white and wild rice pilaf but it's probably good over pasta as well.

    Recipe #94586

This is a great recipe using two of my favorite flavors: cauliflower and sun-dried tomatoes. This is colorful and makes a great side dish to any kind of meat entree.

    Recipe #94580

I love Swiss chard and really like this recipe combining it with tomatoes and garlic. Recipe from Chicago Trib FOOD section years ago.

    Recipe #94436

This rich pound cake has a real taste of Hawaii in it! This tastes great with a scoop of coconut ice cream on it.

    Recipe #94383

EASY and quick dish, ideal for summertime. I can have this ready is almost no time so it's great for after-work. This recipe can also be made using walleye, sea bass or halibut. Serve over rice with a green salad.

    Recipe #94297

Kind of a long title for a simple sandwich but it perfectly describes what this sandwich is all about. Perfect for St. Patricks Day, or whenever you crave this tasty comfort food. You can make the pickled onions several days ahead, they keep fine in the fridge.

    Recipe #94295

I found this in a Chicago Tribune article on Chicago baseball history. They called Cracker Jack the "primordial American snack". I don't know about that but I do know that this stuff is really tasty!

    Recipe #94188

I'm always looking for new, different, dishes to have as sides for BBQs. I loved this one because it's so easy to throw together without too much chopping and mixing. I found this in an old Cooking Light special edition.

    Recipe #94187

This is a super simple side that does well as a side to sloppy joes, or as just a snack on it's own.

    Recipe #94090

I love the combination of cranberries and walnuts so I was happy to find this recipe in an old Taste of Home recipe collection. Prep time does not include chill time.

    Recipe #94087

This is a great side dish to grilled meats. If you're unable to find the Mexican crema, you can use creme fraiche or sour cream. This recipe comes from the Manzanilla restaurant in Ensenada, Mexico.

    Recipe #93912

This is really nice for a healthy, meatless meal. Use whatever crust you'd like....homemade or store-bought. I usually serve a salad or soup with this quiche.

    Recipe #93820

Delicious pork roast, recipe from The Daily Herald.

    Recipe #93721

This is best made with organic chicken....the only chicken I serve to my family. The ones I buy are usually on the small side and cook more quickly than those plump monsters that are bought sealed in plastic. This is my classic kind of recipe - simple and tasty....the chicken is marinated AFTER cooking, rather than before. This is good served with steamed new potatoes, cole slaw and ice cold beer. Source is Chicago Tribune Magazine.

    Recipe #93506

These go wonderfully with cocktails and they're fun to make on your grill when you have guests over for a BBQ. I found this in a pamphlet I received while looking at Weber grills (I ended up buying one and I love it). Prep and Cook times don't reflect the 1-2 hour marinating time.
