I created this the other night, because I wanted some potatoes au gratin. So I used the ingredients I had on hand. This is a great base recipe, I think I might add bacon next time, and just use bacon grease instead of butter. Or some other suggestions would be; ham, mushrooms, onions, peppers etc. I hope you enjoy it, if anyone make any additions or changes tell me in your review.
I got this from the show Good Eats on FoodNetwork. This really good. A nice change from the normal "taters and carrots" pot roast. I couldnt find blade in chuck roast so I used a boneless chuck roast. I also pureed the sauce in my blender, because I dont have an immersion blender.
This is a really big recipe. But it is also very simple. My cousin came up with it, she made it origanaly for 2-3 people using only one steak. Then we made this for my uncles b-day, and everyone enjoyed it(all 18 people) we served it with sauted vegtables.
I made this tonight, it was pretty good. This is how I made it. It turned out a little sweet so just add the syrup or the sugar unless you like it sweet. I think it was still good. Try it and tell me what you think.
These are good i came up with them tonight. They are thick fluffy and kinda gooey. I think they are pretty good but when i was making them I was going to put them in the oven, but the oven went out. So i made it this way and they are pretty good.
